Scholarships for School Programs

Scholarships are open for the 2021-2022 school year.

**Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis while funds last.**

How to request a Scholarship

  1. Browse available scholarships in the yellow boxes below.
  2. Request your Arboretum School Program using the School Program Request Form.
  3. Request a Scholarship for your school program using thehe Scholarship Request Form. Scholarships cannot be requested by phone or email. 
    FORM NOT OPEN YET FOR 2021-2022.
    **Scholarship Requst Form will open Wednesday Sept 8 at 9 a.m.**
  4. Receive a reply from the Arboretum Office. Completed requests will be notified of status within one week. Approved scholarships will be applied to the order. Those not approved will be given the option to keep or release products in the order.

How to find your school's Free & Reduced Lunch %

  1. Go to https://mndatamaps.web.health.state.mn.us/interactive/frpl.html 
  2. In the box on the top right hand corner of the map select schools (the third choice from the top). That will locate the schools on the Map of Minnesota.
  3. Zoom in to find your school and hover over the location dot of your school. When the school location is hovered over, the free and reduced price lunch percent (total FRPL eligibility %) is shown in a box in lower left hand corner.

Field Trip + Bus Scholarship

25 total scholarships
To Qualify: 70% Free & Reduced Lunch Eligibility
Scholarship Benefit(s): 100% of student fees waived, Field trip bus costs reimbursed
Rules: Valid for any available Field Trip. Bus reimbursements for 2021-2022 school year field trips must be submitted to the Arboretum by June 1, 2022.


Field Trip Scholarship

SOLD OUT FOR 2021-2022
To Qualify: 50% Free & Reduced Lunch Eligibility
Scholarship Benefit(s): 100% of Student fees waived (Bus fees NOT reimbursed)
Rules: Valid for any available Field Trip.


The Minnesota Harvest Field Trip + Bus Scholarship

SOLD OUT FOR 2021-2022
To Qualify: 50% Free & Reduced Lunch Eligibility
Scholarship Benefit(s): 100% of student fees waived; Field trip bus costs reimbursed
Rules: Valid only for Minnesota Harvest Field Trip for grades 3-6, offered October 2021. Only one scholarship per school per year; Bus reimbursements for 2021-2022 school year field trips must be submitted to the Arboretum by June 1, 2022.

Plantmobile Scholarships

Reserve a mobile Field Trip, delivered in person, right in your own classroom.


Plantmobile Full Scholarship

10 total scholarships
To Qualify: 70% Free & Reduced Lunch Eligibility
Scholarship Benefit(s): 100% of total program cost
Rules: Valid only for K-2 fall or winter 2021-2022 programs: Bulbs & Blossoms Plantmobile or Exploring the Desert Plantmobile.


Plantmobile Partial Scholarship

10 total scholarships available 
To Qualify: 50% Free & Reduced Lunch Eligibility
Scholarship Benefit(s): 50% of total program cost
Rules: Valid only for K-2 fall or winter 2021-2022 programs: Bulbs & Blossoms Plantmobile or Exploring the Desert Plantmobile.

To Qualify: 70% Free & Reduced Lunch Eligibility

Rules: One scholarship per each Box. Valid for any available Field Trip in-a-Box.
