Pink Moon Night Hike
April’s full moon is widely known as the Full Pink Moon, even though it doesn’t actually turn pastel pink as the name suggests. The Full Pink Moon’s name comes from the abundance of moss phlox, a common little pink flower that typically begins to spread across the ground in early spring.
SOLD OUT! Sunday, April 25 | 8:00 - 10:30 p.m.
SOLD OUT! Monday, April 26 | 8:00 - 10:30 p.m.
The hike will start at the Ordway Shelter with colorful lights illuminating the trees on Three-Mile Walk to the Boardwalk. Luminaries will be placed along the boardwalk will light your way as you enjoy the full pink moon. The route will continue around the Green Heron Pond to bring you back to the Ordway Shelter. We'll have fire pits to warm any chilly fingers and toes, and s'mores for sale (COVID restrictions require everyone to be seated while eating.)
